Have you been to North Shore Scenic Railroad? Then share photos of your experience!

Whether you are looking for a short trip to Lester River or a leisurely ride up the north shore to Two Harbors, the North Shore Scenic Railroad is your one-stop shop for train lovers one and all.

The Great Pumpkin Train:
Journey aboard our annual Pumpkin Train Express to the grassy pumpkin patch that only appears once a year, on this very special weekend.

When you arrive at the patch, each passenger gets to pick out their own pumpkin to take with them. The train ride is about 90 minutes total, and you’ll return to the Duluth Depot where you can stay all day to tour the railroad museum (included and open until 5pm), listen to live music, enjoy bounce-houses, food vendors, and much more. Helpful tip: Bring a bag to carry pumpkins in – Grocery bags work great.

The Pumpkin Trains weekend is an annual fall tradition you won’t want to miss, and is sure to create new memories you’ll want to experience each year.

Fall Colors Tour to Two Harbors:
CNN named the 6-hour North Shore Fall Color Train Tours along Lake Superior the "Top 5 of the Top 10 in America!"

A six-hour full day up the North Shore with a two-hour stop for lunch (not included in ticket price), touring and shopping in beautiful Two Harbors. Enjoy the changing colors as you travel to the historic town of Two Harbors, Minnesota. Total excursion time is six hours, with a 2-hour stop in Two Harbors where you're free to tour, shop, eat, and enjoy.

Lots of great costumes seen and good times were had aboard the Terror Train 2022. From Jessica Rabbit to the Fairly Odd Parents, there was a wide range of creative costumes including Brat Michaels and Brat Favre (a couple of bratwursts with extra flair and flavor). 21+ event with plenty to drink and some Dominoes pizza that you could purchase as well as mini charcuterie boxes from Yes, Cheese. There was a train car with a live 5 man band, American Ego, that played a fair range of music but created a fun scene for those not afraid to dance. Some passenger cars provided a quieter atmosphere - unless you stumbled into the purple streamer car that had a super fun group from Minneapolis hanging out on the upper level along witha classy couple from Duluth - this car was the life of the party all on their own. The DJ car was the darkest with party lights and club setting; some dance tracks were played as well as some poorly taste playlist hits including Abba's Dancing Queen, but overall good music to have an excellent time dancing the night away. First time riding the North Shore Scenic Railroad and unless I attend Terror Train 2023, I feel like the bar has been set pretty high. Most fun I have had in awhile. 10/10 would ride again.
