This city hall building is rumored to be haunted by John Moshik. He was convicted of murder in 1898 and his hanging was botched, forcing him to endure 3 minutes of slow strangulation. Because of this, no other hangings happened here. Now, people around town have seen his spirit or shadow throughout the fifth floor of the building. Footsteps and noises have been heard as well.
