Screaming in ScreamTown
I have been coming to ScreamTown since 2019 and it is my favorite Halloween event. Matt, the owner, is so creative and personable. Not only are there plenty of things to scare you, but plenty of magic and illusions to surprise and amaze you. The Abandoned Hayride is unforgettable as is what follows... I don't want to give away anything! This year, 2024, there were some new Haunted Houses - the Nightmares and Phobias was my favorite with the Cannibal Cabin a close second. The props and theatrics in both houses rivals big buck venues like Hollywood Horror Nights put on by Universal Studios. Kudos, Matt!! By the way, Matt is very visible, walking around, greeting guests, and making sure all are having a good time. That's pretty cool!We always purchase the Ultimate VIP tickets which are expensive, but so worth it. Join the mailing list for discounts! Having this access allows you to get through all of the houses in one night. The walk through each one is long (yay!) and takes some time to go through, especially the Oak Blood Forest! You don't want to miss any of the attractions. As a fun aside, you can put your name on your ticket when purchased online - we are always Dr. Bella Donna and Dr. Bloodbath! The Apothecary Shoppe got an overhaul this year with space for you to walk around inside as opposed to more of a booth set up in past years. There were some exciting murder mystery games for sale as well as oddities and cute merch like mugs, shot glasses, and hoodies. There are also food stands, food trucks, and beverages, including beer and wine, for purchase. No outside alcohol allowed. There are police and security onsite but "in the background." I've never seen any trouble when I've been there, even on a busy Friday night, and I feel very safe! The vendor tent is a great place to warm up, especially for us last night as it was raining (only for a little while and the show still went on! Thank you!!). If you get a chance, try the Indulgent Cookies from the "Hungry Little Ghost." I highly recommend the Biscoff one and the Kinder Bueno Bar stuffed one! We also got cool t-shirts there. The owner of the company is a super friendly ghoul (gal) named October. So fitting for her business!Hope you have as much fun as we did!

Email Verified Cuddles outside the maze
Cuddles was one of the people outside the out door woods that we went thru and was very fun to interact with and talk too. Cuddles was very dedicated to their role and made it a lot of fun during the line we were waiting in including giving us a very good scare a couple of times. Cuddles was definitely our favorite creature there and we hope to see them again next year!!

Email Verified SO spooky and fun!
Even with Covid-19, Screamtown was a BLAST. I had never been, but I had heard great things from friends and I can't believe it took me so long. I love going to Haunts, and I'll admit, sometimes it takes a lot to get a genuine reaction out of me in a haunted house- but Screamtown (AND The Abandoned Drive Thru, Screamtown's neighbor that's usually The Abandoned Hayride) got me to jump, almost run, and even scream quite a few times, which usually doesn't happen with me (usually I'll flinch a little and nervously laugh). Besides the unique scares, the lighting, music, and animatronic/non-human scares were SO cool and well done; I don't think I've ever been to a Haunt where animatronics could scare me until now. VIP passes were also DEFINITELY worth it- little to no waiting and the 2 bonus houses were SO good (plus, I'm pretty sure you technically could do the houses more than once unlike regular admission?). Abandoned: Down The Rabbit Hole was super spooky with only a lantern (though I almost wish I would've done it again without the lantern JUST to see how much scarier it could be with no light) and Trapped: Possession got me to SCREAM numerous times (I won't spoil it but WOW). Each house had it's own unique traits and I don't think I have anything to say negative about any of them (though, if I had to pick a favorite, I'd probably say Circus Asylum- where were a few rooms/clowns that absolutely terrified me)! Every actor seemed to know how to scare, and I've been to plenty of haunts where there can be even one or two people who just aren't as into it and it takes away from the experience, but everyone here seems to genuinely enjoy doing what they do! Plus the line greeters and roaming characters were great balances of scary and fun/entertaining. This event was so well run this year- I didn't see anyone causing issues about wearing masks, it didn't feel like we were crammed into the place (which I was worried about and goes to show they care more about their guests well-being than some other haunts), and it seemed like social distancing was trying to be enforced as best as possible. I think I could go on and on about how much I enjoyed this event, and I really may have to try to go back again before this season is over because it was that enjoyable (and it's a good 30-40 minute drive for me, so you know it's worth it!) I also cannot wait to experience everything that will come next year with Screamtown/The Abandoned Hayride- this definitely won't be my last time supporting this place.

Scary yet entertaining
This is the best haunt I have ever been to. The variety of haunted areas – right from the eerily serene spooky forest to the make-your-skin-crawl zombie maze - is simply amazing. The lines were not too long, and the actors were scary yet entertaining.

Must visit....
We had a great time in Scream Town. Special mention to the actors who really put each attraction over the edge. Every attraction had something for everyone. As the name suggests, my nieces virtually screamed non-stop through the forest. Vidar Blóðhorn and creepy clowns freaked us out. Actors’ costumes/makeup were realistic. My only gripe was that the queues were a bit long. Must visit.

So much fun! A very well-appointed haunt. The mazes and sets were amazing. Great attention to details and lots of space and attractions to explore. I personally liked the haunted forest which takes you through a real forest filled with all sorts of actors and animatronics. Definitely worth it.

Great fun
t was a great experience! The Abandoned attraction was my favourite. I am tough to be scared (or at least that is what I thought of myself). But few of the scare moments actually got to me. Overall, it was great fun. Check it out.

Like being in real life Horror film...
There is usually something different each time you go. You will never see the exact same thing twice. Each attraction was unique. The mazes are always so well put together and it felt like being in real life Horror film. In general, the quality of scares was good throughout.

Email Verified This place is AMAZING!!!
Screamtown is SOOOOO big! Its like theme park. So much more then I expected. After you walk in, there is this giant court yard you can hang out in and get food and drinks. All the haunted attractions surround the courtyard, you just go into an attraction when your ready. AND make sure you are ready because this place scares your A** off!

Fantastic!!!
Fantastic!!! Went with my girl and she screamed throughout. She liked the Rabbit hole the most. The actors costumes and make up are amazing and so creative. Food and the heated tent came handy. If you're looking for a good scare with a decent price, this one fits the bill.

Screamed, jumped multiple times
All the eight attractions were just awesome, especially the Phobia House and Blood Forest. We screamed, yelled and jumped multiple times. Kudos to all actors and actress, they were in their best and did a fantastic job. Impressed by their costumes, makeups and trust me they’ve the best special effects and animatronics in place to create a heart ponding fear. Will visit again.

So much build up for nothing. Too many lines for no reason, groups too big. Complete waste of money. Definitely not a worthy place to visit for horror experience.

We had a fabulous time
We had a fabulous time at Scream Town haunt. Got there on time, but they formed the queue quickly and began the entry process on scheduled time. We started with Blood Forest and it was awesome. Highly skilled actors draped in creepy costumes startling us like a hell ghost. After that, we went to Phobia House and I would say it’s one of their best. Mind blowing actors and decoration inside the room was damn scary.

Email Verified Couldn’t stop screaming
It really does make you scream throughout. We were so bloody scared and couldn’t stop screaming till the end. The creators, whoever they are, hats off to them. Everyone in our gang absolutely loved it; all the scares were horrific and very horrifyingly experienced. Can’t wait until next October to visit again.

Wow…magnificent!!
Wow…magnificent haunt. I shouted, screamed and jumped a lot at Phobia House. The jump scares at Blood Forest were on point..though got scared several times ….enjoyed it a lot. The other attractions were also good. The best part of this place was electrifying ambience and hassle-free parking system. Queues were managed properly and staffs were very cooperative. Certainly, one of the best now in my list of haunted houses. Highly recommended!!

Some were very predictable
Pretty average, to sum it up. Some scares were good, some were very predictable. You will be left alone, unattended at a lot of places, which was a turn off. You don’t expect yourself to simply roam around a dark area, especially after paying a huge sum at the counter. Hope the staff would really take care of the audience the next time. We are not thinking of visiting again though!
Scare Factor: Fun Factor: Haunt Value: -
Email Verified unprofessional
The actors were unprofessional and don’t even seem to care most of the time. This would definitely be one of our worst experiences ever and I’m quite sure it would be same for most of the other audience.

Email Verified Lifetime experience
Awesome experience! Visited with my college mates and our favorite’s attraction was the Phobia House as it banged on us like anything. These guys just nailed it. Awesome. Lifetime experience and a unique one. Thank you, Scream Town, we will definitely visit next year too!!

rubbish show
Very pathetic arrangement!! We paid for eight attractions and were able to visit only two. Asked for refund, they were so arrogant to do so. Waited in line for more than two hours for Blood Forest and it was a rubbish show. Besides this, they were reluctant in clarifying any queries.

Email Verified Topnotch Haunt
A bit too expensive, but the scares more or less makes up for it. Fortunately for us, we didn’t take our little cousins with us, or they would have really freaked out. The artists don’t seem to stop their histrionics so soon. Each attraction, especially the mazes may seem like lasting for a very long time. The place, effects, performances, everything were topnotch. Highly recommended, but only for adults.

Email Verified Very Scary and well done
As a previous home haunter for 6 years and have been to all of the other haunts in MN this is by far the best attraction I have been to for the money. Lots of scares and very detailed sets. The eight attractions are lengthy and worth the wait in line. I will definitely be attending next year.

Email Verified worked and gone as guest
I first went as a guest for 3 years then worked there. I thought I had a blast just going but, working here is even more fun. I have gotten older and bringing the young ones now that they are old enough it is impressive that they keep it scary but have changed the themes here and there. I love Halloween and this is one I think everyone should experience once in their lifetime.

Email Verified Halloween done well.
8 attractions with the VIP pass. No one under 16 should go here...personal opinion. It can be very scary. The attractions are much longer than you would expect. Actors work hard to give you your money's worth in scares. This is easily the best haunted attraction in the Twin Cities area. Staff is professional and courteous. Will make this a yearly tradition.

Predicable not original at all
Went thru the Hillbilly's and it was pretty freaky! The rest were all the same just different characters and a chainsaw at the end of each one. The Side Show was stupidest thing I ever seen and Abandon cost extra that wasn't explained to us until they walked thru the crowd telling people to come to it only to be turned away by the gate keeper because of no VIP. He wouldn't even tell us why? This place was a joke!

not scary
The actors can not touch you unless you have a VIP ($50) pass and you go into the one attraction that allows this, you also have to sign a waver for this. I was bored most of the time because they do not have enough actors for the miles and miles of endless trails you walk through and the actors barely made an effort to scare you. I feel that the actors did give it a good try but since one actor was in charge of scaring two different areas of the trail they looked exhausted from the constant running back and forth between the two sections. I also had a problem with their trails as they are not well kept and are filled with fallen tires, corn, and other debris that can cause even the most athletic individual with the best shoes to fall and break an ankle. Some of these areas were pitch black with no lighting what so ever so you just had to pray that you wouldn't fall. I'm giving this place two pumpkins due to the size of the attractions and some of the displays, which were some what well done.

I have gone to scream town for last four years.
Scream town is one of my favorite haunts. I go to every year. In one year I went to 27 different haunts. This was one of the best that year. I have always lost my voce out there because of screaming,

Even though I work here, I went last night as a guest. I'm not gonna lie I got scared pretty good, I had a little panic attack going through the Oak Blood Forest, I really wasn't expecting a chainsaw to be in there and I screamed a lot going through that one! I had to face my fears of clowns last night, I honestly do not like clowns there creepy f***er's
