This cemetery is said to be the home to Smiling Jack. According to stories, the police received many calls about a person who was trapped inside a mausoleum. When they responded, they were not able to find anyone. This made the locals decide that there must be a ghost on the premises. They nicknamed him Smiling Jack because in the back of the mausoleum is a stained-glass portrait of a man that is smiling and is buried here.

While showing off Smiling Jack to cousons Easter eve. We suddenly saw a man on a horse riding through the cemetery with absolutely NO SOUND! WE were terrified. And it was a shadow figure, both man and horse!

I'm Dimitri and one year I was walking with my grandmother in the cemetery and there was a old man to my left sitting in a rocking chair under a pine tree and when I turn to my right to get her attention we both look back to our left and the chair was still rocking forward and back but there was no one sitting in it or walking away. The other incident is when me and my grandmother were walking through the cemetery and I looked behind me and there was a man riding his bicycle and when he drove near the SIDE of us I turned forward the other way and he had disappeared :( And the third incident is when my II grandmother was sitting on the grass and my great-grandmother went a few headstones down to water the flowers and when my godmother returned my II grandmother saw a old man holding her my grandmother by the her arms as she walked forward, this happened in the Greek sections of the cemetery because we're Greek immigrants :(

  • Home away from home.

I grew up in this cemetery with my cousins. It's not even a little scary. But we did try to see smiling jack. Basically when there is a full moon out it makes the portrait in on the stained glass appear to smile. It's really cool.
